the nature issue. examines the natural world around and within us. artists are asked to explore their own distinct concept of what “nature” means, refusing to limit themselves to any standard definitions and confines. what does nature provide for us? what do we provide for nature? how are we as individuals impacted by nature, and in what ways does it impact our art and the environments that we inhabit? beyond a description for physical phenomena and outdoor living things, what words, images, insight, and modes of expression can we give to describe our relationship with nature? this issue examines all of that and more!
